Your WFH may look a little different these days, b Your WFH may look a little different these days, but as a company who has only ever worked remotely, we definitely know how to navigate this new norm.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ We know there are a lot of tips out there about WFH, but we're only going to share the few that truly have been game changers for us. Ready .... here we go.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ① DO NOT roll over and check your email or social media. I broke the bad habit by simply keeping the phone on a charging station in my home office at night. This allows me to stay focused on my morning routine of stretching, workouts and personal development + journaling.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ② Ok, so don't work in your pajamas but if you aren't planning to see another human, save yourself the time and just put on something comfortable. Judgment free zone and time is money.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ③ Tidy up. Organized chaos is still, well, chaos. You WILL find a sense of calm come over you if at the end of each day you tidy up your desk and/or office space so you can start that way the next morning. Trust us, this is a big one.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ④ Step away. Yep, you didn't enter WFH life just to literally work all the damn time from home. Schedule in a workout, go for a solo walk, play with the pup. Just create some boundaries where you step away from the computer from time to time.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ ⑤ Use email sparingly. We utilize tools like Slack and Asana for communication in-house and with clients. It's dramatically cut down on wasteful time spent in my Inbox and everyone becomes much more productive. This is a game changer.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ There ya have it. Any seasoned WFH veterans have some additional tips they'd like to share?⁠

How to keep going when everything stands still.⁠ How to keep going when everything stands still.⁠ ⁠ Uncertainty is scary, but here's the beauty in this situation — no one has gone through this before, therefore everyone is navigating this new space together. You are not alone.⁠ ⁠ We encourage you to create space for creativity and allow for new ideas to surface that harness your incredible skills + abilities that will guide you to move forward in your business. This isn't a race to have it all figured out, it can be slow & gradual.⁠ ⁠ This could be the "break" you needed to slow down, evaluate what's working & what's not, to brainstorm that rebrand you've been envisioning, how you can expand your product offerings, etc.⁠ ⁠ Just know, we are here for you. Fun backstory to these insanely beautiful engageme Fun backstory to these insanely beautiful engagement photos shot in Joshua Tree. 🌵⠀ ⠀ Obstacle 1 : My clients really wanted to shoot in a field with beautiful straw grass with a mountain backdrop. Well... welcome to southern California where they've cut back a lot of the fields for fire prevention and/or the places I've been before have been affected by recent fires.⠀ ⠀ Obstacle 2 : Weather. The days leading up to our shoot we were all obsessively checking the weather and it wasn't looking good. Come day of ... definitely had to cancel as it was just grey out. Blah.⠀ ⠀ Side Note : All the inspiration images she was sending me were from Joshua Tree. Thus, when I planned a last minute trip with my girlfriends she asked if they were to come on the back end of my trip, could we end up shooting in JT? Umm.. heck yes!⠀ ⠀ Obstacle 3 : Weather x 2. Again, we are both obsessively checking the weather only to be down-poured on the day before and forecast wasn't looking good. However, I felt optimistic with the bursts of sunshine so told them to come. ☀️⠀ ⠀ In the meantime, while they hit the road, my good friend & I were scouting locations within JT Nat'l Park only to realize we had no cell reception and weather was coming & going. We rushed back out to the entrance, gave them an update & basically sat on pins & needles for another 50 minutes until they arrived while starring at the clouds rolling in.⠀ ⠀ Results : Somehow ... somehow we caught this opening of sunshine that lasted 25 minutes and were able to capture the most stunning photos leading into sunset. There's no doubt everyone's day-to-day life has ch There's no doubt everyone's day-to-day life has changed, and with all the information pouring in about state of the world, how to conquer WFH and how many pushups can you can challenge your friends to ... it can all be a bit much.⁠ ⁠ If we can give one piece of advice during this time is to carve out time each morning, even 15 minutes, to read a chapter from a personal development book, take a meditation class, write in a journal 3 things you're grateful for or even just sit with a warm cup of matcha looking out the window without a phone in hand.⁠ ⁠ Enter your day from a place of calm before the chaos begins.⁠ ⁠
